Acupuncture and Shiatsu Acupressure
Health is our greatest possession
Shiatsu Acupressure works on the same principles as Acupuncture (TCM) and accesses the same Acupoints. Shiatsu uses techniques which involve hand pressure, stretching, squeezing, tapping, stroking and rubbing in order to release muscles, improve circulation and restore balance in the body. I often blend these two therapies if you are experiencing any emotional stress, depression, or are worried about acupuncture needles.
The hands on, gentle approach Shiatsu offers gives the person receiving it a deep sense of calm, is nurturing and feels deeply supportive. Shiatsu has a unique way of reaching a person on lots of different levels, including physical and emotional problems. Incorporating shiatsu into an acupuncture session can feel deeply restorative.
